The salt tank is to a softener what the gas tank is to a car. Without salt, your softener will not function. The salt is melted into a brine solution, and in this state it is flushed through the media bed to regenerate the water softener resin. - 18” dia x 40” – Used for our large capacity units. (300 lbs. capacity)
