Advanced Heater Technology

Built for Efficiency and Tank Protection

Modern gas and electric water heaters use intelligent controls and protective internal components to improve performance and extend service life. Features such as electronic temperature monitoring, corrosion-resistant linings, and sediment-scouring flow design help maintain efficiency and consistent output.

Left untreated, older or undersized heaters may:

  • Lose efficiency from sediment accumulation
  • Suffer premature tank corrosion
  • Deliver unstable outlet temperatures
  • Struggle during peak hot water demand

What is the ICON System® and why does it matter?
The ICON System® is an electronic gas control that constantly monitors water temperature, burner performance, and safety functions. It provides precise temperature regulation, diagnostic feedback, and improved operational reliability compared to mechanical controls.
Hydrojet® uses a specially engineered inlet tube that creates turbulence at the bottom of the tank, sweeping sediment away from the heat source. This improves heat transfer, maintains efficiency, and helps extend tank life.
Vitraglas® is a proprietary glass lining that protects the steel tank from corrosion. Combined with Microban® antimicrobial protection, it helps resist bacteria growth and reduces deterioration caused by aggressive water.
Gas water heaters typically offer faster recovery and lower operating costs where natural gas is available. Electric water heaters provide quiet operation, flexible installation, and zero combustion emissions. Proper sizing and water quality are more important than fuel type alone.
Hard water scale and sediment act as insulation on heating surfaces, increasing energy use and accelerating metal fatigue. Treating hardness and iron helps preserve heat transfer and internal components.
With proper sizing, water treatment, and routine maintenance, modern residential gas and electric water heaters can provide reliable service for many years while maintaining stable temperature and energy efficiency.
